Disguise - Illustration
This is a combined series of illustration and textile design, this part focusing on illustrations. The project draws inspiration from the "disguises" people adopt in daily life. In various social settings, individuals with different personalities wear metaphorical "masks" to conceal their true selves, each for their own purpose. This behaviour mirrors how animals use camouflage for protection.
I created six distinct characters based on the disguises that people with different personalities might adopt. These tangible "masks" are meant to face others, much like portraits that capture the version of oneself people wish to present to the public.
So designed unique frames that reflect the characteristics and elements of the masks. This allows them to be displayed like portrait paintings.
