Shackles of Blood

This is a series of three-dimensional collage illustrations made with mixed materials. The work reflects unhealthy parent-child relationships, satirizing parents who view their children as property rather than independent individuals, controlling every aspect of their lives. Through exaggerated depictions, the project objectifies children to illustrate their tragic experiences, aiming to provoke reflection among parents and future parents, encouraging them to treat their children in a healthier and more respectful way.

The artwork is primarily composed of black, white, and red. The red yarn symbolizes the blood ties between parents and children — connecting, binding, and controlling them. The illustrations are rendered mainly in black, white, and grey to emphasize the dark and oppressive tone of the piece, conveying the sorrow felt by the children.
